A gay Queensland couple accused of being part of an international pedophile ring have had their six-year-old son taken by child protection workers.

The boy was removed in Los Angeles the day after their home in Cairns was searched by Queensland police in October, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The FBI is also investigating allegations one of the men has sexually abused the boy, and that both exploited him through child pornography.

The men claim they are innocent of any child abuse and say they have been targeted because three of their friends turned out to be child pornographers —

on Sun, 06/03/2012 - 15:53

Edward Drones, 61, and Lori Wiley-Drones, 57, were arrested Wednesday, the Anchorage Daily News reported

Prosecutors say $824,000 was awarded to the boy after the couple sued the state, claiming that their foster son had been born to a drug- and alcohol-addicted mother and was allowed to live with his abusive and neglectful father.

According to the indictment, the couple eventually adopted the boy and drained his account, leaving just $15.

The grand jury indicted the couple on two dozen counts of felony wire fraud, the U.S. attorney's office said.

Invasion of the baby snatchers social services United Kingdom

Chris Spivey, Sovereign Independent contributor -

Not so many years ago in cases where children were taken from their parents by the social services the general consensus amongst the public was that there had to be a good reason. Not so any more. Many parents in the UK are now so afraid of the social services that they think twice about taking their children to casualty should the need arise. It’s certainly not unfair to say that the fear, mistrust and suspicion afforded to the social services by some, is akin to that afforded to Adolf Hitler’s S.S.
